Jenny and I had the pleasure of speaking to the women of the Junior League of Stamford and Norwalk last night. We presented information about Social Reputation. The women of the Junior League are a very savvy and connected group. We were thrilled by their feedback and questions.
So what is a Social Reputation? It’s how people view you online and IRL (in real life). Every pin, post and tweet leaves a mark on the internet and it is permanent. Jenny and I like to call this your “Social Footprint”. The pages you like, the comments you make, the pictures you post determine how people view you. Your Social Media and online experience shape your reputation and your brand. Yes, YOU are a brand so be sure to manage how people view you. You are your own Social Media Manager and it’s time for you to make a social media plan. What do you want to share with others? How do you want to be perceived online, and as an extension, in real life? How will you go about telling your brand’s story? These are all important questions to ask yourself.
Below is our Social Reputation: The Internet is Forever presentation. We hope you find this information helpful in managing your Social Reputation.
“It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you’ll do things differently.” ~Warren Buffet
You only have one reputation, manage it wisely.
